Set peacefully amidst the vineyards of the Loire Valley, in the Parc Naturel Regional Loire-Anjou. A special place to live, close to Saumur, Montreuil Bellay, Fontevraud, Chinon and Angers. The area is steeped in history with many superb chateaux being open to the public. Wine tasting is available everywhere, where you can sample the wines that have been made by the same families for generations.

This is a unique opportunity for those who would like to have the experience of being a temporary resident of this beautiful village. Conveniently located in Maine-et-Loire, by car about 20 min. from Saumur, 45 min. from Angers and 1 hour from Tours and by TGV just less than 2 hours from Paris.

This recently completely restored house, which dates back to approximately 1750, is located in the heart of a small (1,300 inhabitants) village that dates back till early 12th century when the first version of its cathedral was build. The village became a stop on the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela (17th century houses used by the pilgrims still exist) and is also part of the route de vignoble.

It has been recently complete renovated and is furnished at high standard and offers the following:

Ground floor
Entering the house you arrive in a large, but very cozy room that is used as a guest bedroom and family room/den and/or office space. It has a double bed and full bathroom. There is a kitchenette and a laundry room with washer and dryer.

First floor
Arriving at the first floor is on your left hand the entrance to a large gourmet kitchen with high end brand new appliances, triple bowl kitchen sink, bar, breakfast nook and a large pantry closet. The kitchen has a set of double doors which gives access to the terrace.

A set of double doors gives access to the living- dining room with exposed poutre (original wooden beam in the center of the ceiling). High ceilings, beautiful windows and the use of light colors give this room its warm atmosphere.

Second floor
A wooden stairway leads to the second floor. The landing area is a nice hallway with partially exposed tuffeau walls. To the right is the entrance to the master bedroom; a cozy room with bookcases and a small window with view over the gardens on the back. To the left you enter in a spacious dressing area. At the end to the left the entrance to the master bathroom with a special vanity counter. This gives also access to the toilet and a very large shower room with double shower heads and a small build-in seat.

Patio/court
At the back of the house is an enclosed patio with a former ‘outhouse’. The patio (about 8x3 meters) has painted walls and is a pleasant sitting area.

TV:
There is satellite TV with many english language channels and regular TV with french channels in both bedrooms.

Rental Rate:
This will depend on the period and the number of months and will vary between € 1,000 and € 1,500 per month. (utilities not included)
